Octomom Magazine

In my Editing and Design class we learned how to use Indesign, an Adobe product, which is similar to Quirk Express. In this post I have loaded a magazine spread of a story which was once ran in the New York Times Magazine. The article and the pictures are taken from the New York Times. The layout and design was my creation.

Soundslides Project

For my Editing and Design class we made Soundslides. Soundslides is a program which is used to piece together a combination of photos, cutlines, and sounds. The Soundslides project, which I produced, is of Mardi Gras 2011. My teacher provided the pictures for us, but since she nor I attended Mardi Gras this year there is no sound to go with the Soundslides. Soundslides is useful for putting information together in a way which draws people in. The ability to use sound and photos are not only allowing you to tell a story, but allowing to embrace the audio and visual aspects of what the story is telling you.
